We lived that frustration for three decades as practicing anesthesiologists. We cycled through multiple billing vendors, each promising what the last had failed to deliver. After a nationwide search for a partner that truly understood anesthesia practices the way anesthesiologists and CRNAs do, we came to a sobering conclusion: no such company existed.

So We Built One

Anesthesia Revenue Cycle Solutions, LLC (ARCS) was created by anesthesiologists who refused to accept the status quo. We recruited the leading minds in anesthesia revenue cycle management—executives, attorneys, accountants, and billing specialists who had grown equally frustrated with an industry that put Wall Street ahead of the physicians it was supposed to serve.

Rigorous Insurance Follow-Up — Every account, every month, with a focus on first-touch resolution. Denials worked within 48 hours of payment determination. Intensive and continuous auditing and training ensure staff effectiveness and accountability.

Highly Effective Guarantor Follow-Up — We minimize amounts turned over to outside collection agencies by thoroughly working self-pay balances, including outgoing call campaigns. Our 100% US-based call center staff uses a multichannel approach to patient outreach with patient-centric communication.

WHO WE ARE

Founded by Physicians

ARCS was founded by the physician-owners of Lonestar Anesthesiology and Pain Professionals, PLLC (LAPP), one of Texas’s most respected anesthesiology and pain management practices. Founded in Houston in 1995, LAPP is owned by fifteen board-certified anesthesiologists and pain management physicians and employs over one hundred anesthesiologists, CRNAs, and advanced practice providers.

For three decades, LAPP has delivered comprehensive anesthesia services across hospital and ambulatory surgery center settings—orthopedics, obstetrics and gynecology, cardiovascular and thoracic surgery, general surgery, pediatrics, neurosurgery, bariatric surgery, plastics, infertility procedures, interventional radiology, trauma, and endoscopy and catheterization laboratories. Our interventional pain management physicians offer advanced treatments for acute and chronic pain conditions.

LAPP physicians serve on hospital and ASC committees, lead staff training through in-services and CME lectures, and teach ACLS and BLS certification courses. Through it all, LAPP has remained physician-owned and physician-led, resisting the private equity consolidation that has swept through our industry.

We’re not outsiders who decided to get into anesthesia billing. We’re the anesthesiologists who got fed up and built something better.
